Ford Better or Worse
The new Ford Fiesta ad from Ogilvy appears to make no sense whatsoever. It's screens moving around a city, its slightly abstract, well shot and engaging, but I just have no idea what it's trying to say apart from a vague technology/its flashy and stylish type message.
Happily its looks in this case are enough to make a good ad. Just not a great one.

Hey-here's what it's about http://tinyurl.com/4375vn, it's part of a much bigger campaign, quite interesting!

I bet the 'big idea' is still advertising led ... which means despite it's intrigue, it will never overcome [1] it's a Ford and [2] it's a Fiesta.

I was going to post about this ad too last week because I really liked the execution, but the more I watched the ad I still couldn't find anything to actually say about it apart from the fact that I like the execution... and unfortunately I just don't think that's good enough these days.

well it may be style over substance but at least it doesn't feel like a ford ad, which has to be a good thing
